Honing machines have strict requirements for honing gear processing
The honing machine has strict requirements for honing gear processing.
Between the two strokes, the honing tooth head is staggered by a corresponding angle in the circumferential direction relative to the workpiece. This movement prevents the movement trajectory of each abrasive grain on the honing tooth head on the hole wall from being repeated. In addition, with each revolution of the honing gear head, there is a certain overlap length in the axial direction between the whetstone and the cutting trajectory of the previous revolution, making the connection of the front and rear grinding trajectories smooth and even.
At present, the honing heads used in honing machines are mainly made on the honing heads by inlay technology. After finishing the surface of the workpiece, the processed hole diameter will become 5-500 mm. For different larger cylindrical holes, valve holes, cylinders, box holes, connecting rod holes, etc., the ratio of hole diameter to hole depth can be about 10, or more Large, under relative conditions, honing teeth can also process flat surfaces, cylindrical surfaces, spherical surfaces, or tooth surfaces, etc. For example, the surfaces of cylindrical honing teeth are mostly rough and uneven, and can reach less than Ra0.04 micron during fine honing. The processing accuracy is about IT7-4, and the surface quality of some plane honing teeth may be slightly worse.
