Be familiar with the production diameter and wall thickness of high-precision cold drawn tubes
High-precision cold drawn pipe is a type of steel pipe. It is processed through multiple passes of cold drawing during the diameter expansion of the raw tube blank or raw material pipe. It is usually performed on a 0.5 to 100T single-chain or double-chain cold drawing machine.
Its outer diameter can reach 6mm, the wall thickness can reach 0.25mm, and the outer diameter of thin-walled pipe can reach 5mm, and the wall thickness is less than 0.25mm. The accuracy and surface quality are better than hot-rolled (expanded) pipes, but due to process constraints, its caliber and length are limited.
Production diameter range: 16MM-219MM.
Production wall thickness range: 2.5MM-40MM.
Production length range: 5 meters to more than 9 meters.
Its mechanical principle: During cold drawing, the steel pipe passes through the shape and size of the mold under the action of force and undergoes plastic deformation. At present, the drawing methods in production can be roughly divided into three types: diameter reduction, outer wall reduction and inner wall reduction. During cold drawing, the steel pipe undergoes corresponding deformation under the action of drawing force, positive pressure and friction. Most of them undergo diameter reduction, wall reduction and There are three stages of sizing, and corresponding stresses are generated in the deformation zone, among which the axial direction is tensile stress, and the radial and circumferential directions are compressive stress. During the pipe drawing process, the metal is in a state of one-way tension and two-way compressive stress. This is the basic mechanical characteristic of the cold drawn pipe deformation process.
